What does the co-op really cost?
The price of a share is only half. Add your share of the association's debt, see the real price, and check it against the legal maksimalpris.

How we calculate
When you buy a co-op you buy a share of the association's net worth, not bricks. The real price is the purchase price plus your share of the association's debt, because you help pay interest and principal on it through the monthly charge.
The maksimalpris is a legal ceiling
A share may not be sold above the maksimalpris, which is derived from the andelskrone. If the asking price is over it, that is an overprice you can reclaim. Always check the price against the key-facts statement.
High debt hides in the monthly charge
A low price can hide a high association debt that shows up as a high monthly charge. So look at both the real price and the total association debt before you bid.
