Good questions.
Which listing sites work?
Oikotie, Etuovi and agent sites, plus most agent listing pages.
Does it work for couples?
Yes, that’s the point. Invite your partner to your household and see each other’s read on every home, side by side. No more long message threads.
Does it work if I’m also selling?
Yes. Add your current home and see what you’ll walk away with after agent fees, tax and loans, and whether to sell or buy first. Your whole move in one place.
How reliable is the verdict?
It’s built from the facts in the listing, and we always show what’s known and what’s missing. A sharp first filter, not a replacement for a condition survey.
Whose side is Heimer on?
Yours. Heimer is here for you, the buyer. We show what a home costs, what the risks are, and what to do next.
Is my data safe?
Yes. We never sell your data. Your listings and results are private to your account, and you can delete everything anytime.
What does a home really cost per month?
The real monthly cost is interest plus principal plus the maintenance charge plus upkeep. Heimer works out all four from the listing, so you see what the home actually costs each month, not just the debt-free price.
What is a pipe renovation and what does it cost?
A pipe renovation, putkiremontti in Finnish, replaces a housing company’s water and drainage pipes, usually every 40-50 years. It raises the financing charge or your share of the debt. Heimer reads the housing company’s finances and shows whether one is near.
Numbers you can trust
We keep track of what needs checking and fixing, so you don’t have to hold it all in your head.
- Every number can be adjusted, and you see what it builds on.
- When a figure is missing we say so, rather than guess.
- Amounts, rules and thresholds are checked against official sources.
Feel confident in your biggest decision.
Guides for home buyers

Condition inspection and hidden defects: what you do not see at the viewing (2026)
An ordinary condition inspection is sensory and does not open up structures: it finds risks, it does not confirm damage. This is how you protect yourself from a hidden defect and complain in time.
Housing company finances and share of the company loan: how to read whether the company is sound (2026)
Debt-free price = sale price + share of the company loan. Read the loan share, the charge split and the manager’s certificate before an offer, so you know what the home really costs per month.
Buying a home together: cohabitation, marriage and ownership shares (2026)
In cohabitation a home divides by ownership, not automatically in half. Record fractional shares in the deed to match your contributions and put the agreements in writing.
