The købsaftale is the binding contract between buyer and seller, binding once both parties have signed. Even after signing you have 6 business days to withdraw against a 1 % fee of the purchase price, and most buyers write in an advokatforbehold.
The agreement sets the important terms: price, completion day, what is included and any conditions.
An advokatforbehold makes the deal conditional on your property lawyer being able to approve it. With it you can step out without the 1 % compensation that the statutory right of withdrawal costs.
The right of withdrawal runs for 6 business days after the agreement is concluded. If you use it, it costs 1 % of the purchase price as compensation to the seller.
After signing, your property lawyer handles settlement: deed, registration and the apportionment statement. Always read the agreement through with an adviser before signing.
