Felleskostnader (monthly shared costs / common charges)

Felleskostnader is the monthly bill that covers running costs, maintenance and the interest and principal on the cooperative’s joint debt. Part of it is therefore interest, so when rates rise the felleskostnader rise. Low felleskostnader with large joint debt can get expensive when an interest-only period ends; count felleskostnader plus your mortgage as your real monthly cost.
